A non-WiFi monitor is very difficult to hack as it uses frequency hopping spectrum (FHSS). Plus, non-WiFi means you'll never have to worry about finding a hotspot. Some monitors use a WiFi connection, which becomes problematic because they rely on the quality and strength of existing networks to function properly.​

The monitor is straight forward with a simple plug-and-play design. It has an easy and intuitive menu, with simple processes to activate the various high-end features.

Split screen mode allows you to view two rooms at once, but you will only hear sounds from the camera being monitored at the time. Easily switch between the cameras with a press of a button or automatically when in SCAN Mode.​

You can pair up to 4 cameras to one parent unit. The monitor is supplied with 2 cameras. You can buy additional add-on cameras and pair them to the same parent unit. Please note that a camera cannot be paired to more than 1 parent unit at a time.

This baby video monitor features VOX Mode. This mode allows the monitor to go into standby and for you to control the sound level from your baby’s room which will automatically activate the sound and video transmission on your Parent Unit.

Good Customer Service but Monitors Are MEH

"The monitors are a bit dysfunctional in our experience but the camera itself works well and we've had good experience with customer service. The first monitor we had, the back stand broke. We were able to get it replaced with a new monitor under warranty. Then, the second monitor's screen went black randomly. Thankfully, we were able to get it replaced again under warranty. Customer service is easy to work with and they replaced both our dysfunctional cameras pretty quickly so we definitely appreciate that!"

Great Baby Monitor

"This is our second baby monitor having had the leapfrog for our first child. I’ve owned it about 1 month now and so far so good. Head and shoulders better than the leapfrog monitor we owned. Picture quality is great and love that camera is adjustable. One thing I would say is that you will need an adjustable mount if you want to use the camera straight above. We got one on Amazon but I was surprised that baby sense didn’t sell one."

Happy with product but needs very minor alteration

"Really great product, clear visuals and the night light function is great. My only slight pet peeve with this is to do with the monitor. When on, there is a green light that is permanently on. Which isn’t an issue during the day but at night it is way too bright consider most people will be keeping this on their bedside table. It would ideal if this light could be turned off!"

Does this device have automatic noise reduction/cancellation for white noise?
This device doesn’t currently offer automatic noise reduction/cancellation for white noise, so it isn’t able to filter out or differentiate it at this time - it will pick up sound as it occurs in the room.
Does the camera have a back up battery feature?
At this time, no. The battery within the monitor is the only one provided and cannot be changed out due to the build of the device. In order to keep the health of your battery in tip-top shape, please ensure you only use the provided Babysense adapters, and if you have any problems, you can reach out to our dedicated customer support team on the Help section of our website.
What type charging port does the parent unit have? We try to minimize device-specific charging cables, so I'm hoping this works with standard USB-C

We have an HDS2 monitor and camera that's 3 years old. It's worked great for us, but recently the monitor's antenna broke and we're having another baby soon. Can we link our old camera to this monitor along with the one it comes with?
Our cameras run on a closed-loop encrypted connection to avoid hacking attempts.With HDS2 cameras, you should only purchase HDS2 parent units, as those will be the only things that connect to one another.
